Dr. Morgan Hott, M.D., Ph.D., founded Warren Dermatology and Mohs Surgery in 2015 to bring world-class dermatological care to the region.
He is the only Board-certified and Fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon and dermatologist in Trumbull and Mahoning counties.
Dr. Hott’s medical education was completed at the University of Massachusetts, Harvard Medical School, The University of Rochester, and the University of British Columbia.
Dr. David Hamrock, M.D. is a Board Certified, Fellowship trained Dermatologist and a member of the American Academy of Dermatology & joined the practice in 2013. Dr. Hamrock graduated from Youngstown State University Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science Biology.
During his time at YSU he was a member of the Golden Key National Honor Society, on the National Dean’s list, a member of Alpha Epsilon Delta Honor Society and concluded with a membership Phi Kappa Phi National Honor Society.
Dr. Wagamon attended Pymatuning Valley High School in Andover, Ohio where he played golf and basketball. After moving to Cleveland, he went to Case Western Reserve University and granduated summa cum laude with a BA degree in chemistry. He then attended Case Western Reserve Medical School and remained in Cleveland to complete his residency in dermatology at University Hospitals of Cleveland. After living in Cleveland for 12 years, he moved to San Franciso for a fellowship program in dermatopathology at Stanford University. He returned to Ohio where he soon married his wife Sharon. He has been in the Warren area now for over 15 years. Dr. Wagamon practices medical and cosmetic dermatology and reads skin biopsy slides. He and his wife have two children, ages 12 and 14. Dr. Wagamon enjoys hunting, cooking, and being outdoors.
ACMS-accredited fellowships are extremely competitive. Surgeons with this training have demonstrated academic excellence.
Fellowship-trained Mohs surgeons must complete a minimum of 500 (instead of 75) proctored cases under the supervision of an attending surgeon.
Because fellowship-trained Mohs surgeons are required to complete more supervised cases, they gain experience with complex multistep repairs as well as simple closures.
Mohs micrographic surgery is a technically precise procedure often performed on the face where the cosmetic outcome is more important. Surgeons with fellowship training have the expertise to minimize scarring.
Fellowship-trained Mohs surgeons aren’t just experts in complicated surgical techniques. They also have extensive experience analyzing tissue samples and monitoring for atypical cells.
